WFMU's Free Music Archive & YOU (and us)

Our very favorite radio station WFMU has been working hard on putting together a real nice collection of free (as in beer, and in some cases, as in speech as well) music. The culmination is the Free Music Archive, which debuted last week. The site looks great, and if you sign up, you can do all kinds of fun stuff like make mixes and you can download regardless. It is a thing of beauty. We highly recommend checking it out.

You may as well start here, with the full set (including the stuff we couldn't put on the air) from our session on Scott McDowell's always excellent show the Long Rally (Wednesdays at 11 on 91.1 in the NYC metro area, or whenevs on wfmu.org).
